You may be aware of the well known community of Meos/Medes for their numerous human qualities such as honesty, justice, simplicity, hard working, straight forwardness, helping, God fearing, valour and so many other virtues and equally fortunate because of the region they have been living in i.e. the erstwhile state, the Mewat, one of the most vital and important area in the vicinity of ever remained Capital of Bharat/Hindustan/India since ancient times and further spread all along the Ravalli Hill ranges going far away in the Rajputana. It cannot be said precisely what constitute the Mewat, but generally include Alwar, Bharatpur, and Dholpur districts of Rajasthan, Mathura in Uttar Pradesh and Gurgaon and Faridabad districts of Haryana. The ancient kingdom of Matsya, founded in the 5th century BCE was here only as a country which Meos/Medes used to rule. Apart from it Medes have spread all over north India and have their clusters of villages where they are more prosperous than their brethren in the land of their origin. Despite of all that it is unfortunate that history has not given them sufficient space they deserve and contribution they have made to strengthen the nation even during period of worst crisis quite comparable to the holocaust. They have been almost ignored by various past governments specially that of rulers coming from outside and still a lot more is required to be done to improve their day-to-day life so that they should not feel deprived from their own present democratic governments and the nation as a whole is benefited by their remaining in the main stream and as such serving the country with their above strength.
