Governor rule harmful for democracy, stability: ANP
PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) has once again condemned the imposition of governor rule in Punjab and termed it harmful for democracy and stability of the country.

Speaking at the party’s meeting here on Sunday, ANP called on the government to save overcome the political crisis for saving democratic institutions.

ANP leaders Orangzaib Khan, Haji Ismatullah Mehsud and Qamus Gul Khatak said that disqualification of political leaders should be conditioned with voters’ decision only.

They said that ANP had always opposed any such move to disqualify politicians through courts.
Khoro slams PML-N for civil disobedience call
KARACHI: PPP leader and Speaker of Sindh Assembly, Nisar Ahmed Khoro on Sunday said that Pakistan People Part never gave civil disobedience call in the country.

Addressing an MQM-led rally here, Khoro said that people of Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and NWFP don’t forget their benefactor.

“MQM chief Altaf Hussain has proved his affection and love for Sindh by organizing this massive rally,” he added.

He further said that Nawaz Sharif should not forget those days when he had imposed governor’s rule in Sindh.
Protest rally turns into march: Farooq Sattar
KARACHI: MQM Rabita Committee’s Deputy Convener and Federal Minister Dr. Farooq Sattar has said that the protest rally organized the MQM to express solidarity with PPP against desecration of Benazir Bhutto’s monument in Rawalpindi, has turned into a march.

Addressing a mass rally here on Sunday, he said: “We congratulate MQM chief Altaf Hussain for organizing the successful protest rally.”
